The campaign invites residents and local businesses to pledge support for potential Breeze Airways flight service
Centre County, PA – July 9, 2025 – The Chamber of Business & Industry of Centre County (CBICC) and The Happy Valley Adventure Bureau (HVAB) have announced a community campaign to bring Breeze Airways, a promising new airline carrier, to State College Regional Airport (SCE) this fall. The proposed flight service would provide direct flights from State College to Orlando International Airport (MCO) twice weekly, with the possibility to add more flights to Orlando per week or add flights to sought-after destinations in the future.
Interested residents, businesses, students, and local organizations are invited to pledge their support for this flight service to help solidify a community attraction proposal initiated by CBICC and HVAB, alongside other investors.
To show their commitment and enhance the attraction proposal, individuals can make a non-binding pledge to fly Breeze Airways to Orlando by completing a Google Form linked here.
“As a critical focus of Centre County’s Economic Development Strategic Plan, improved air service helps grow our economy, supports local families, and enhances our ability to attract visitors, talent, and investment,” said CBICC President and CEO Gregory A. Scott. “Our community’s proposal to attract new air service is a chance for us to make major strides towards these goals.”
“The continued growth of visitation to Happy Valley depends on our region’s ability to invest in options that improve access and make it easier for more visitors to experience our attractions, events, and hospitality,” said Fritz Smith, HVAB President and CEO. “Demonstrating community support for this new air service route is essential to further grow our tourism economy and increase our competitiveness as a leisure, conference, and sports destination.”
This effort is part of a broader local initiative, backed by investors including CBICC and HVAB, to secure and expand commercial air service in Centre County.
